Setting up for the first time I find that there is no power beyond the turnout I installed in the circle. The rail next to the frog has no power beyond the turnout. It is obvious that the frog rail does not touch the regular rail so how is power to passed on in that rail? Help!

What kind of turn out did you put in?

There are several kinds I can think of.

Turn out with plastic frogs. No power will get through, you need to add a feeder wire.

Power Routing turnout. Which route is switched will receive power. You will have to insulate joiner it and provide feeder to all three routes.

Non power routing, electro frog turnout, you either have a short or something else going on.

Hi tombrown,

A bit more information will bring alot more help.
What scale?
What brand turnout?

If using a power routing turnout, the point rail must make contact (good contact) with the stock rail for power to flow beyond the diverging route.
