Hi,

I wish to know whether the Davenport engine that is part of the Prospector Set is the same as the Spectrum Davenport engine that can be purchased separately (i.e. level of detailing, DCC ready and so on). If not, how does it cpompare to the Spectrum model.

For those who know, thanks to let me know !

Hi Francois,

The Davenports in the sets are the same as those sold seperately.  None of the Davenports are Spectrum.

If you want a Devenport it is best to buy the set, either the Prospector or Lumberjack.  The difference in price is so small that it is like getting the cars and track & transformer for free!!   The sets at Trainworld are selling for $159.99 and the Davenport sold seperately is $149.99.

It is almost too good to be true!!

Thanks Loco Bill !

I wrongly assumed that the Davenport was a Spectrum one. Thanks for notifying me that point.

You are right, this deal is too good to be true. I'll get a set ! :)
