GE45 Mod Question

Hey'all..

Would moving the cab of a GE45 to one side of the locomotive defeat the purpose of having the counter weights?

I'm lost, what counter weights are you referring to  ???

The only counter weights I know of on the real thing are the ones on the axles and they have no connection whatsoever to anything involving the bodywork; they are there to counter balance the mass of the side rod drive.
