I wish to connect to #5 turnouts (44565) back to back so as to make parallel tracks - what would be the track separation between to the 2 parallel tracks?

Thanks

For mainlines, I have used 2 3/4" center to center. For sidings down 2" seems to work. wider space allows for more comfortable finger space between cars on adjacent tracks.

Dear arbasu,

Measuring one turnout and doing some calculations, I get:

3.292", or just under 3-5/16" center-line to center-line spacing.

Hope this helps.

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.
