  Hey there. here is an idea for coloring thoses counterweights. If you can draw well draw a side view of the 2-8-0. Make a few copies of it just to be safe. If you don't draw well see if you can find some plans of the 2-8-0.(one of Bachmann's catologs had a good one) Useing the drawings or plans as a guide, devise your own color scheme. If you mess up, thats what the copies are for. Hope I helped some.

An excellent idea. I make copies of my turnouts on a copier, then cut them out to use in planning a railroad. But never thought of using that system for planning loco and rolling stock.
