well weve seen thomas and percy and we heard of james coming. but whose next? i think toby and edward will be the last. i dont see thomas LS going far.

There is no confirmation on what the next large scale engine is gonna come out for next year. They will announce who it will be February 2011 at the toy fair though.
I'm placing bets on Toby for next year myself...

yea like i said i dont see the thomas LS line going far. just imagine how huge and expinsive gordon and spencer will be! we will be lucky to get atlest toby.

just so y'all know usa trains makes the big boy in large scale, blw makes a brass ac-12 cab forward, mth makes the triplex and lgb makes german 2-10-0T in large scale they each cost more than $2,000! and pople still bought them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, RBMN, but those are for avid train collectors. I highly doubt a parent is going to pay even over 500 dollars just for a large scale train in the Thomas line. I just see large scale as a waste of money (no offense to anyone), because they're so much money and there are other scales with a wider variety to choose from. But, that's just my opinion.

theirs a reason that ho scale is so popular, they're cheap but big enough to see what your doing.
G scale catches my eye a lot more but for $1500, its an expensive hobby. for $300, its not a bad price. (these are just guesses to what the average layout would cost,)
