Who has the best inventory program for LITTLE or NOTHING

Spread sheets work just fine for keeping track of things like DVD collections, music files and (ta-da!) model railroad equipment.  If you don't know how spread sheets work, here is an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone, learning something new while building a data structure to inventory your trains.

You may already have Microsoft Excel on your computer...it seems like MS puts some version of MS Office on virtually every PC sold.  But, if you don't own a spread sheet and like FREE, there is a freeware package called OpenOffice.org that gives you a full featured, MS Office compatible, collection of software including a word processor, spread sheet, data base, and presentation manager.  You can download the whole kit and kaboodle here:
