Track Crossing Angle?

I have a 4 x 8 with an oval track running the perimeter. I want a figure 8 in the center using 18 radius track. what angle cross do I need at the center? and can I in fact fit the figure 8 inside the current 4 x 8 oval?

90* angle.
If the two are going to be seprate loops, just be sure to fit a straight piece at the ends of the outer loop, so that the outer oval is now more of a rectangle.
OR use 22R curves for the outer loop.
Either way it should be a tight fit.

Trust me, 60 degrees makes the most usable/flexible Figure-8. 

It's the only crossing that puts the curve track joints on the compass points (N, E, S, W).
