Does anyone know if there are prototype drawings out there for the USRA heavy 2-10-2 and the USRA heavy 4-8-2? Maybe in the the railroad encyclopedia that model railroader put out?   I have the encyclopedia by mainline modelers and they are not included in them.
  Thanks!

GN.2-6-8-0

the Model Railroader cyclopedia volume 1 does have a drawing of the USRA heavy 4-8-2 but not the 2-10-2

You can google these and you should find something. Also, go
to railroad historical societies of lines which had these locos
and you might find a treasure trove of drawings.

Dear Nick,

From index.mrmag.com :

1 match for drawing 2-10-2 heavy:

The USRA Heavy 2-10-2

from Mainline Modeler September 1984  p. 58
2-10-2  ACL  B&LE  C&IM  C&S  CB&Q  CofG  drawing  engine  Erie  heavy  ic  locomotive  MP  prototype  prr  steam  usra

Hope this helps.

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.
