The MRC Brilliance is close to your price range, IIRC.  Check with Tony's Train Xchange for the exact price.
I'm sorry, I forgot which country puts the monetary symbol after the number instead of in front.

Summertrainz,
I was an English teacher for 28 years.  Be aware that your message was so convulted that I took you for a non-birth English speaker.

I talk trains much better when I know what the writer wrote.

I'm sure Gene meant to write that your message was so convoluted that he took you for a non-birth English speaker. I don't think he was being sarcastic when he wrote that. I had a similar impression, particularly given the location of your dollar signs.

My 12 year old took a class at school called Keyboarding. She texts her friends in web-speak, partly to be expeditious (those little keypads are not very user friendly) and partly because of the culture. When she's typing a message intended for an adult audience she types in Standard English. Try it.

Try a wooden whistle. OK just KIDding, I still use an old Tyco steam whistle Billboard, an electric box, that hooks up to my transformer.
I do so by choice, as I would have the means to do DCC w/ sound if I wanted to.

Barry,
