how to use smoke

i just put up my G scale train that belonged to my father in law and I was wanting to know how much of thte liquid smoke I need to use to make it smoke and if there are any tricks to make it smoke better

Put a few drops down the stack. The way to get maximum smoke is to run the loco at all ahead flank emergency. Of course, that isn't the way trains really run and most don't look too good doing so. Be sure to turn the smoke unit off when you're not using it because it can burn out if it's run empty.
