9 volt battery

 I have not had my train out for 7 years.  The instructions were ruined in the Frances and Jean hurricanes.   It is a Scale electrically operated.  There is a 9 volt battery in the box that I know goes somewhere in the engine.  Where?  I cannot find it?  Thanks.

You left out a lot of details. Try again. Sounds like one of the larger scales.
