Is there any information on the prototype for the On30 Pulpwood car? When I google "pulpwood car" all I get are modern versions: v-bottom bulkhead flats. I'd really appreciate any information on a source for the Bachmann prototype.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are a generic model based on the Maine two-foot railroads. I know the Maine Two-Foot Modeler provided some plans to Bachman.

I tried to Google an image, but couldn't find one either.

Dear Pete and Jim,
They are indeed based on Maine prototypes. The Narroe Gauge and Shortline Gazette and Light Iron Digest have both printed plans.
Our model is very credible.
Have fun!

Mr B.

Following up on the question of prototype,  a question came up at my place last night.   When doing paint schemes,  are most of what Bachmann produces,  real railroads or companies?

Thanks, Bach Man. I've found four articles catalogued, 3 in the NG&SLG and 1 in LID, and am trying to find copies.  Appreciate the reference.

Dear Bob,
There are some of each. Sandt River is real; Greenbrier & Big Run we made up.
I try to keep the non-prototype cars credible. Since you're asking, perhaps I have...
