There are no decals on an Atlas model, or any modern model for that matter. The graphics are printed on the model with ink or paint.

Some have luck with ELO (Floquil Easy Lift Off), a pencil eraser, and a lot of careful elbow grease. If it is more than a road number change, it is often easier just to strip the whole model and start over or buy an undec shell.

I have had success using powered Ajax ,comet .I mix up some with water then rub the
lettering with a blunt toothpick or chopstick. It worked on a Walthers Y3 but left a slight haze, not too bad. I also removed the N&W from the Bachmann J,it worked good and left the red stripe under it in good shape.

Only my 2 cents  RGW
