While i was working on Diesel 10, i was also working on a little something extra too, I've made him once before using a Triang tank engine back in 2009, but now, i have redone the model, with a better chassis that looks more accurate, and similar paint to that used on the Series 7 model.
The original Arthur model i made and painted LMS Crimson Lake, i am giving to my partner, but he just needs a touch up on the lining here and there and also needs a new face, which i will make for him using latex modelling rubber.

But here, are some photos of the Arthur i have almost finished, just requires lining, lettering and a touch up here and there.

This model has been made using different parts from other locos, the chassis is from a Hornby Fowler 2-6-4T the steam feed pipes are from a Trackmaster Rosie and the front footplate steps are from old plastic kits, not sure which though, but so far, he is looking more like the real thing, lining and letter as i said above is all that he needs now, and no need to worry about the cylinder covers, they have been painted too. :)

I won't be doing much more of the newer characters until i have sorted out my other projects first, still got a fair way to go before i can think of working on anyone else, besides, I'm not rushing these, would rather take my time before rushing into another project without finishing off the one i just started.

He will be considered though, but i doubt i will be making him for a long while to come.

Nice to see that you're revisiting Arthur. The progress so far already looks promising & the paint looks good, too.

If you're interested, I crafted up an "LMS" decal last year in Adobe Photoshop which (if you don't already have one) I could send to you to use on your model. There are a few imperfections, but only within the pixels themselves, these are ultimately not seen when the size is decreased for use on a model. The letters themselves can be easily rearranged, resized and the whole thing can be printed out onto Laser/Inkjet transfer for use on models. I had originally planned to use it myself, but since I'm not currently working on an Arthur project, it might as well go to someone who is.

Even if you're not interested, the model looks great in terms of structure and colour, it looks very much like the TV Series model so far, and I'm sure it will even more so once the lining and lettering is applied.

Thanks for the offer mate, i do have some pressfix transfers for the LMS loco lettering and yellow loco lining too, but if you wanna send them anyways, by all means do, as i could put them to good use with other models. :)

Will pm you shortly with my e-mail.

On the subject of Arthur, the lining is now taking shape!

Cirkit:)

Arthur II is looking great so far! I still think the Trackmaster Face is a little odd, but it's better than the Wooden Railway face, and it looks like it fits properly, so I move on.

Will you be making any different facial expressions for Arthur, or any of your other engines, like Diesel 10, like you've done in the past, or will you be relying on photo-editing when it comes to episode making?

I wish you luck with the lining, I hope it comes out just right. :)

I am looking at making a few extra resin faces for Arthur later on, and the lining is completed. :)

Really happy with the results of the paint and the overall effect of the lining, another model nicely finished in the collection, with more new projects in the pipeline. Splatter and Dodge are next on the cards for diesel projects. :)

That is an excellent model, Stepney. Though, it still needs some minor adjustments, such as straightening the foot plate to a sort of 90 degree angle where it rises, and adding a hosepipe at the front. Other than that, for such a quick project, you did a great job.

I had thought about straightening the footplate, again, something i am looking at working on, same with the hosepipe, don't be put off in any way, like i said, criticism is welcomed to make improvements!  ;D

Looks really good, Stepney. I can't tell you how much it reminds me of the Season 7 model...really excellent choice of paint and base model/chassis.

In the lead up to my own Daisy project, I might as well post some photos of my first model project--the Old Mainline Coaches, started and completed last year.

More photos to be uploaded to Youtube in a few days.

Probably not the most TV accurate set of coaches you've ever seen, but for a first model project, I'm not too disappointed.
