Thanks Alex! This'll serve nice as a spring board! (I dont mean this to offend. You took a huge clog out of my mental block. And it takes A LOT to do that!) Would you happen to have a larger version to print?

Edit: nevermind. Pasting it on paint did the trick.

On reply #15.  I can see other possibilities.  A eastern coal road.  Ok lets say that the right side is
east.  You add an island on the north side, leaving enough room so that there is room for the door
to clear.  What you have is an E shape layout with a loop at each leg of the E.  The track at each
end would loop around, gaining about 4 inches elevation.  This would also go in double track, or
the whole layout could be double track.  The tracks going into the loop would go into a tunnel
and be hidden as it follows the wall around to the other end of the room.  You could have a coal
mine at one end and a power plant at the other.  The main yards would be C shape at on end of
the E could be industries.  I don’t know how good my word picture is.
