That sounds like an awesome idea! I'd wish you luck, but as Obi-Wan said, "In my experience there is no such thing as luck". :P

btw, Shawn, when will you be opening auditions? Closer to release date or earlier?

Whenever.  You could do them now or later.  Also--because I can't do it alone, does anyone want to download blender, learn it and make some CGI assets and maybe even rolling stock...?

Does blender work with OS X?

Shawn

It sure does!  It even works on my 10 year old Mac!  So it will definatly work with your MacBook pro!

It works on everything!  And works fine on a slow computer!

The above two tutorials use an older version of blender (2.43) with a complete different ui,  but can still help.

Here you can download pre-made wheel sets, buffers, couplings, vacuum pipes, ect

You can search around and find more resources!

Btw,  you will also need to download GIMP.  Which is like MS paint on steroids! Gimp is also free!

If I were you,  I would start by building a simple asset like a truck or a barrel and making that REALLY detailed.

You can also find animation and render tuts floating around.

We can share our models via media fire.

Enjoy!  I think I have told you everything I know!
