Does it reverse direction when it bumps?

What exactly is meant by electronic reversing unit on the Williams O 23909 Philadelphia Transit Co. Peter Witt Street Car? Is that the same as bump and go where a streetcar travels on a straight run of track and when it's progress is stopped by an end of track bumper it automatically reverses direction? Or do you have to constantly push the transformer's direction button to have it change its direction of travel? Couldn't find a way to access this streetcar's manual by way of this website.

no--"bump refersing" is Lionel--most others use aan electronioc trigger--I built one many years ago that instantly reversed.  Most now incorporate a delay circuit that allows passengers to board or leave the car.    gj

From what I read on this topic in the Williams section, it has the standard reverse circuit board that comes with all Williams engines; forward, nuetral, reverse, nuetral, forward. Don't try bump and go with the Peter Witt street car, unless you like a possibly damaged street car, and/or track.
