Have added many pictures today to my NMRA Show Photo Resource.

Take another look.  Really like Con-Cor's coming AeroTrain and UP M-10000 sets!  Very Cool!

And still can't get over how awesome Bachmann's new Berkshire and Sharks look!!

Wow so much cool stuff. Did the bachmann berk in NKP have the correct headlight or the same as the C&O?  :)

SteamGene

The C&O headlight is in the correct spot, but the NKP Berkshire has it where the S series had theirs, according to the pictures, and the PM Berks have theirs where PM fixed theirs.   Now, the real question is, when the C&O absorbed the PM, did the PM Berks become Kanawahas?  I know that C&O left them with the same numbers and retired any Mikado with a conflicting number, so I could reletter PM 1225 into C&O 1225 if I wanted to.

ENGINES.
EVAR!

As soon as I can get my hands on one of those, I will... And I thought I  would only have spectrum steamers on my layout. And bachmann? Do the Kanawhas happen to have flywheels on them? ;)

Greetings, All.

The new Berkshires look gorgeous.  Congrats to HLR and crew.

If you are a Berk fan, or just want to know how steam engines were designed, manufactured and tested, I highly recommend this book:

"Superpower, The Making of a Steam Locomotive", written and illustrated by David L. Weitzman, 1987, isbn 087923671X

Check your local library, or its inter-library loan system for a copy.

Hope this helps.

"Free the 2" straights!"

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik
If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.
