If I buy a standard 1.22 size bachmann box car, wil it be scaled for standard 4 ft 8.5 inch track or will it be 3 foot narrow gauge.

Dear Iron.
Actually, it is scaled for meter gauge track, which is close to three foot gauge. It is a narrow gauge car.
