I can't see any physical reason it wouldn't fit around an LGB 1600 (c. 4' radius) curve. The Accucraft version does so, as does my BBT chassis on my model. The wheelbase is similar to the outside frame 2-8-0--within an inch or less (too lazy to go down and measure at the moment)--so I'd expect similar performance on curves. The issue with the center axle on the 2-6-0 stems from it being a very long-wheelbase locomotive with only one axle between the ends. The 2-8-0 has two axles in the same space, so they're closer to the flanged axles and geometrically cannot get so far off the rail.

I just measured my C-19; it's got a 7" wheelbase. The 2-8-0 has a 6" wheelbase. The 2-6-0 has a 7 1/4" wheelbase. Sitting my C-19 on a section of 1600 curve, the wheels are still over the railhead.
