King of the Rail series Lightning Express and Pacific Express train sets

I have a friend who found the "King of the Rail" "lightning Express" and the "pacific express" train set in her late mothers attic.  Any information on these sets would be appreciated
Both sets are still sealed in the box.  I beleive both sets are from the late 60's or early 70's
