Novice to "G" scale trains. Purchased a "G" 460 steam loco. ET&WNC green in color #31498. Can I still get the owners instruction manual? How old is this loco.? and any other info. would be appreciated.
Also can you explain what is the diameter for the 1500 track, 1600 track? My platform is 7' x 13'. I would like to run the "G" scale on the outside and my "O" guage on the inside. Please help me if you can.

Let me expound on track a bit.  Bachmann track that normally comes with their sets is a stamped steel rail that is good for indoor use only.  They have recently released a new line of brass track intended for outdoor use, and is targeted at the 1:20.3 narrow gauge modeler.

Aristo Craft (and I believe USA Trains) brass track follows the dimensional standards you can find here:

LGB track and switches can be found here:

There are good reads on several forum boards as well.

With some luck Loco Bill will stop by and help clarify the age of your engine.
