Hi.  I have a set of Williams O Scale NYC Crown Edition #M1012 passenger cars.  There is a baggage car, two Pullman cars and a car that seems to be part baggage and part passenger.  Is this called a Combine car?  Some folks say it is an Observation car.  Do all Observation cars have domes?  Thanks for your help.

A passenger car that has a portion of the car used for baggage is called a combine, sometimes called a "combo."  Observation cars don't always have domes; only streamliners do (not heavyweights); the California Zephyr was famous for having a dome observation car.

If you want to see a real version of the California Zepher, there is a railroad museum in south Miami FL that has one on display. The name is Gold Coast Railroad Musuem and it is on SW 152 Street near the Metro Zoo in south Miami.
Not sure if they have the engines that pulled it. The observation car and Vista Dome car are very nice to see.
