How can I hook up my Bachmann switche to an Atlas Illuminated Switch Control Box?

Thanks,

Jim

Len

Yes, but you'll have to cut the plugs off the end of the wires and strip them so you can fasten them under the Atlas screws.
If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Thanks Len. There are three wires in the Bachmann bundle?

Len

Yes, the green wire coming from the Bachmann switch has three wires. The center wire will go to the center screw of the three screw side of the Atlas #57. The other two wires get positioned to whichever screws give you the "Normal Through" and "Diverging" routes you want for your switch. The two wire red power lead go to the two power input screws on the #57.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Len, I'm I correct in assuming that you can control two turn-outs with that switch?

jward

yes, with the atlas boxes it is easy to hook up two switches to one control box. the only problem you may run into is that some of the weaker power packs may not have enough amps to throw two motors at once.

If you want reliable switch action, use the Circuitron SNAPPER. Only for twin coil turnouts, though.
