I have a BACHMANN SPECTRUM®1:20.3 SCALE 2-8-0 NG OUTSIDE FRAME CONSOLIDATION - DEADWOOD CENTRAL (81295) locomotive, and when I had originally bought this I had purchased track with a curve diameter of 9 feet. I was wondering what the minimum diameter would be for curved track to use with this locomotive, as I need to purchase more track for my backyard layout. Would 8 foot diameter track be suitable? As it is somewhat cheaper than larger diameters. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

An 8-foot diameter is most certainly adequate for the outside-frame 2-8-0.

As Kevin stated, 8' is adequate.  I believe my paperwork on mine states that 8' is minimum diameter. I will tell you it will look so much better the larger the diameter it runs on.
