Hi folks,  I'm getting ready to install my new die cast trucks and have a question.             Prior to hooking up the new truck wiring, is there any reason that I can't determine correct phasing of both the wires to the trucks and also the wires going into the locomotive by applying track transformer power to the wires directly where I will be making the solder joints?

Thanks

Joe Satnik

Dear gypo,

It would be safer to use a Volt-Ohm meter at the lowest Ohms setting to trace out the wiring

before touching power to the wheels.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.

Thank you Joe. Sorry it took so long for me to reply.  I'll let you know how it works out.  Thanks again.
