Hello, novice here. I have purchased N scale Durango and Silverton train set. I have purchase plywood to use for the layout. what is the best way to attach the track to the wood. The set came with the EZ track. Thanks for your assistance.

Jerrys HO

A low temp glue gun works the best for me. There are others that use caulking with success also.

Hi trentb716,

I like clear silicone caulk.
Why?
When cured it is not solid, but very pliable (cured is jelly like).
This flexibility helps to absorb vibration.

Glues that harden, don't provide that effect.

Don't take my word, experiment for yourself.
Super easy to remove from both wood and plastic roadbed.

Other alternative;
Spikes.
My last choice.
But extremely effective holding track in place, but does nothing to damping sound, in itself.

Have you considered Aliens tacky glue?
I would choose something that stays pliable between the track and the bench.

Good luck
