If you wondered who was buying up all the Bachmann Spectrum City Scenes kits should look at the Dec 2007 issue of Model Railroader.

Rod said he rather be on the cover of MR than on the cover of "Rolling Stone". He gives this hobby a great shot in the arm.

I don't have a wife, but I was sure impressed.  I never cared for his music so much, but I hear Rod Stewart is one very driven man.  It was interesting reading about his building a project in a freezing room with open windows because of the fumes from barge cement.  I wonder if Keith Richards is a modeller...

Pip pip and cheerio, y'all..

Yeh i read that in the News paper today, which was the hole reason for my dad getting one.  :P

He also has a BR east coast main line model railway in is house in essex.

Dr EMD

The press in the United Kingdom turned his Pennsylvania based layout to New York City and his Grand Street Station into Grand Central Station.

And they called it a train set!

They even took a picture of what is in his car!

Yeah, ain't it great.

Did you see the size!? 23ftx120ft! But about 100ft of it is staging! But, hey, the rest of it is amazing!

It's a shame they don't tell you where it's located ;) :D ;D.

To think, any of us could've run into Rod Stewart at an NMRA convention.  :D

Quite frankly, the staging seems a bit strange to me.

I suspect the stagging is in an attic space with sloped headroom, not really suitable for regular layout space.

This is Rod Stewart we're talking about here...he could add 2 more stories to his house for that area!!!  :D

Read the article.  It is on the third floor in his Beverly Hills home.

Hats off to MR this time!!

What a deal this article was!  It is a real babe magnet!  The mag is left on the coffee table when a lady comes over, my dog is in the house.  They see Rod Stewart's name-associated with trains and modelling, the dog sticks his head in their lap, and voila!  Now all that is left is up to my cooking...and the fact that I, too, "play with trains"-just like Rod Stewart?
Hah!!  Eureka!!
