Just a curiosity question. Why are there 3 different sizes of plastic clips for steel track (1 7/8", 1 15/16" and 2")? They all look alike. Are some newer than others? Thanks.

Dear Bob,
Straight to straight, straight to curve, curve to curve.
Have fun!

Ok. Thanks for your quick reply.

I think I only have two sizes: "straight to straight or straight to curved," and "curved to curved."  I've also noticed the tab, or flange on the tie that engages the clip is sized differently on some tracks.  Am I missing something here, with a third clip size?

I also had some track with longer flanges. If I had trouble snapping connector I filed the flange down some. I don't know where I got the 3 different lengths. Some came in bulk packs that I bought, others came with track. I still have a lot of them, just haven't put on eBay. I've sold all of my steel track except for 3 switches. Went to brass.
