Hey Bachmann, what would be wrong with having the Bachmann plant manufacture a 4 wheel running gear for the On30 caboose and letter it for the early C&S. would make a wounderful 30" railroad waycar also.

Or - to follow that "somehow trend" - change it to a real D&RGW Caboose with the correct details and cupola...?

Kind regards, Tom

Actually, A Florence and Cripple Creek shorty woud be closer to the size of the rolling stock now offered.  I have built a couple based on the Bachmann On30 caboose. Requires new sides and cupola.

It takes about 1 minute or so  to convert the Grandt Line C&S caboose
  from 3ft to 2½ft gauge.  Happly converting HO,OO,S,On3 & O-27
for my 2½ gauge line.

I am curious as to what you do about couplers with the Grandt Line rolling stock, especially the cabooses. (cabeese?)

Standards? STANDARDS? We don't need no stinking standards!

If you contact me directly I can show you how to modifiy the caboose and then modify the Grandt C&S caboose for On30 couplers. Even the San Juan Car Company D&RGW shorty caboose can be converted to On30 and wqill operate on 22 inch radius.

I agree a 2 axel bobber would make a great addition to the Porter family.

I would like to see caboose 505 in ET&WNC. I do not know why the company can not make any other styles of cabooses and steam locomoitves. Som people like myself tend to mess up my locomoitve if I try to convert it, the same goes along with rolling stock too. It would be better to buy the company made items rather than to risk trial and error to customize and have to buy again and agian.
