There he is!

Also, we now have the information that Skarloey "performs best on 11.25" radius curves or greater."

Bachmann Skarlory looks amazing, if this is the final image of him. I look forward to getting him at somepoint next year (2016).

I am purely and whole heartedly astonished that they managed to give him, what looks like a completely open cab. Whilst all the details are amazing, this is the one I think is purely the most astonishing of them all...given even Bachmann's model of James does not even have an open cab, it's amazing that this detail made it onto Skarloey, along with some of the other details too, and to see just how far Bachmann have come since the first 3 models.
Best wishes,
~Alex

I agree actually Alex. Bachamnn Jmaes has no open cab at all, but it must be able to do, as a Narrow Gauge Locomotive such as Skarloey with a complete open cab that is also smaller than Bachmann James in scale proves that James could easily have an open cab.

His wheels look plastic, are they metal?

What sort couplings are those on Skarloey? I cannot think how you couple a Locomotive and a Wagon together using these type of coupling?

They are called Bemo Couplings. You can see them in action here:

OK, thank you for the video link. Are they easy to couple and un-couple by hand?

Just out of curiosity, how big is Bachmann Skarloey compared to his ERTL model? A picture would be nice Smiley

I agree, the Bachmann Thomas & Friends Narrow Gauge range is far too expensive. I am UK resident, so I can only get my Bachmann Thomas & Friends products from a website called The Diesel Works in Scotland, which is northerest part of the UK, and each of the Narrow Gauge Wagons are 30.00 each, which far too much. Skarloey has not come into stock yet, and I dread to think what they will be selling him for!
