Howdy everybody!
I was just wondering if any of you good , knowledgeable people would happen to know it the newer weight fits all (or at least most! ) Bachmann chassis. Bachmann has been sold out for months making them hard to find.
Thanks!

Andrew,

I believe the newer weights will be fine, but am not positive.  If you get a Big hauler weight it should go into all the other Big Haulers except possibly the version 5 .  I am almost certain the Annie weight is the same in all Annies.  Again I am not positive, but I don't know of any design changes affecting the weights in the Annies.  Because of the open chassis on the Annie I believe Annie weight may be slightly different than the standard line big Hauler weight due to the way the the motor was relocated on the Annie.

If you are not a purist, you could try hot gluing in rolls of pennies,  or experiment by trying = one of the available weights and let us know how it goes.

Not a great answer, but it is all I got!

Thanks Bill. I'm going to call Bachmann tomorrow and double check with them to make sure before I order one . It's the only way to be 100 percent sure.

I recently installed a new version 5 chassis on my grandson's "Big Hauler". The Big Hauler weight did not quite fit.  I cut off one end of the weight to open up the slot.  Then with a washer on the original screw I was able to secure the weight.  It was a ten minute job.   :)
