N scale lacks an affordable ATSF 4-8-4  that is current state of the art in engineering and detail.  The old Bachmann 4-8-4 is really long in the tooth, and it would be nice to see a new model come out, that is equal in scale, detail and running qualities of the Bachmann Heavy 4-8-2 and 2-10-2
Is there any chance of that happening in the near future?   Thanks

especially after i now have two BLI 4-8-2 Pennsy M1a & B.  Awesome engines. Come on Bachmann. give something as good as your EM-1 is. I have all four road numbers of them, they are awesome.  I put soundtraxx in the all, full decoders.  Excellent pulling engines. 70 cars easy doubleheading.

Yep. It takes years of design, development, and testing to add new products and trains. IF something like this were to come up, I'm guessing maybe 2018.

As a machinist I know tooling is very expensive and takes time. corrections is what kills it.
