N guage Couplers

Good Afternoon
I just purchased the N guage Explorer train set. Somehow the couple to the Santer Fe engine came off. It was actually loose when I bought this two weeks ago. Now I tried t fix this but the spring fell out and of course I can not find this. New to this but was wondering do i need to call Bachman or can I fix myself? Can addtial springs be purchased and how do I do this? Many thanks
