independent 2 train operation

Hello I have 2 bachmann dcc sound value gp7s and 1 ez command dcc controller I have a small 1x5 shelf layout what do I need to be able to have my son be able to run one engine while I run the other?

You need a controller with two throttles.

You'll need a second DCC controller, such as Bachmann's 'Walk-Around Companion'.
