Hi!

I have acquired new and older E-Z Track Remote Switches and Turnouts. Some have come with a small controller that you slide then push to pulse the direction coil. Others came with a larger controller that a you just slide either direction.

Am I correct that the larger controller is really best to use because it only allows the EZ Track Switch coils to be energized momentarily where as the smaller push to pulse type controller you can hold the coil on and eventually burn the coil out in the EZ Track switch?

Thanks!

you can hold the coil on

That is what you don't want to do. You don't want to hold on or hold down the button for any length of time.  Slide the controller button over and just push down, not hold down, momentarily.  You should hear the switch point rails change their position.  Then you know the job is done.
