Greetings to all. I am set up for my Christmas layout for the season.

With a Dynamism controller the locomotive as it going around stops momentary and go again at different parts on the layout, not always the same spot and not every time.
Tried with different locos with same result.
I also have a EZ-Command and that works normally.
The tracks are clean and the continuity of the tracks all check out.
All my locos are cleaned and checked each year I put then away.

I would be happy to hear from anyone experienced this problem and found a solution.
Cheers, pjf

feels like thermal overload safety from your power supply.

Hello Ton, How would I measure that on a DCC track?
At the moment I am running one 2-6-0 DCC, that would not overload the system?
Cheers, pjf

measure the current , amperage, your system is drawing when running.
Then check how much the transformer can deliver.
If the current measured is about equal to the specs of the transformer thermal overload protection can occur.
If it's a mechanical protection you should hear a click

That is one possibility, the other could be a loose soldering or connection.
Whet it gets warm contact is intermittently lost.
Good luck then, finding the offending part.
