I am trying to disassemble a 2-6-6-2 for painting.
Screws and the way how to take the large parts apart is no problem but can anyone tell what kind of glue was used?
Es specially on the boiler.
My guess is super glue.
If so, i have a mayor problem getting the parts of in one piece.

Ton,
If you can get to the glue spots, try applying acetone (finger nail polish remover) to the areas which should loosen/dissolve the glue.

Thanks Dave , i will have a try.
It's been a while since i used nail polish  ;D so i don't have acetone available.

I don't know if it was the thinner or the small punch, but the bell is of, in one piece, and the steam turbine broke of.
I won't be needing that one anyway.
