sound and steam

Just set up new Northern Lights set with coal tender,present car,reindeer car, and kaboose. Have the sound working for the engine, but no whistle of any kind and very weak steam. Can anyone help? Thanks, it runs and looks great around the tree.

would that be the G scale set with 4-6-0? If so, there is no whistle or sounds other than steam chuff installed. There is a volume control knob on the underside of the tender.

As Kevin said, there is only the chuff sound nothing else. When you say "very weak steam", I'm guessing you mean the smoke. Unless you have this engine chugging along at a quick pace, you won't get much smoke. Just make sure you don't run it without fluid and the smoke switch "on", it will burn out the smoke unit.
