Steel with Undertrack magnets

I understand that steel is attracted to magnets and I'd like to know if those undertrack uncoupling magnets will have any effect if used with the steel alloy E-Z track. I've only seen it being used with the nickel track which I have plenty of however my Thomas set came with steel track. I know those E-Z track magnets will not work with any of my Thomas the Tank Engine rolling stock but it will for others that come with the E-Z mate couplers. I just need to know if those magnets will either have some sort of effect on the steel track of if the trains will still run as they do if the uncoupling magnets were used on nickel.

The Bachmann undertrack magnet works with either type of track. The only problem I've seen with steel track is you have to clean it a lot more often than NS track.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Alright well that's very good information. I was sure it would work just as well but I kind of needed that conformation.
