After being dropped, I repaired the damaged shell to my HO Southern Pacific Post War #4464 engine.

I'm at a loss as to how the square drive axles keep from sliding off  the bearing.

Two of the drive wheels on the engine keep sliding out of the plastic connector that keeps the left and right wheel in proper alignment. The two halves of the  plastic connector make a small barrell spacer that seperates the wheels.  It fits inside the center ring of each wheel.  Does anyone know how to cure this problem?

It runs fine once on the track but when you pick it up two of the wheels will slide out.

Thanks,     Cam

Dear acam,
I'd suggest a quick call to the service department.
Have fun!

sounds like you need some sort of securing pin, screw bolt... pin...
check around the floor where you dropped it
you might find a little part.
check if theres a stray hole
look in the loco part chart that shows where all the parts go together
i looks confusing but it may tell you how the parts fit together and whats not right.
clumsy me once dropped my ho loco
a simple 0-6-0 non dcc... worked ok when i put it back on
the drive train loosened and i managed to get it into the piston cases and i noticed it needed some small screws on the bottom...
i got them back in thank goodness
im unfamiliar with the train your describing but i bet there built with the same kind kind of screws... extremley small......

Hope it turns out ok
