I have a new Bachman E-7 DCC ready. I want to install sound in it, but I cannot see how to get the body shell off. There are a number of screws on the bottom of the unit, but I don't want to remove a lot of screws that may be holding the weight or other components in place. I would like to know what screws to remove and what else to do to get the shell off. The diagram that came in the box isn't much help.

Thanks

Check the above link. Four screws on either side of the fuel tank.

It's easier to remove the shell if you take off the coupler boxes, BUT not necessary.  Sometimes, the assembly is a little sticky, the first time you attempt to remove the shell.  Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I know some screws hold the weight and other stuff. I didn't want to take out the wrong screws and have to put the whole thing back together.
