I use an EZ Command system. When I visit another layout, I need to encode a new address for the loco.  Could I just use the EZ command address, say #5, on the other system. Most likely NCE.

Dear Glenn,
That would depend upon whether the address is available on the railroad you visit.
If your host changes your loco to a four digit address (typically the cab number) remember to have it changed back to 5 when you leave.
Have fun!

My loco is programmed as #5 on EZ Command. Would I be able to use it as #5 on another system?

If is is there a list of addresses that correspond to the buttons on EZ Command?

NCE shuts down the main while the programming track is in use. If I arrive during an operating session I am out of luck of being able to run my engines. If I knew the button addresses I could just use that address if it is not already assigned to another engine.
