Cv2-0,  3 - 100, 4 - 50 , 116 - 185, 209 - 230, 210 - 0, 212  - 255.

Do these and that baby will crawl like an ant on silk on 128 steps.  Of course you have to clean the wheels and lubricate the engine too.

For slower and smoother-

Cv 4 - 75 , 116 - 225, 212 - 150,

Trackbump

If you want it to really crawl take cv 216 down to 1. Put cv 10 to 255. This works well with the other cv numbers mentioned. Pulled a 20 car train up and down grades with a double head with this engine at speed step 5 on a 128 scale. Impressive when the layout is a scale 2 miles. Takes a long time to complete one revolution ,but does without any stalls ,slips or anything. Impressive when the wheels and track are clean. :)

I'll try those when I get home.

I've got not quite a scale mile point to point but between the two endpoint interchanges are two rural communities with ag type setouts like Co op warehouses, oil distributors and wood yards.  Making up a train, running it to each town and switching, and getting the train classified in the destination yard can take two or three hours and more if there is a sawby meet, which there always is.
