Hi guys , I am having a problem with my lgb chuff sound not working properly. It just has a constant noise. No more chuff. Bell and whistle work normal. Any clues as to what has gone wrong? Thank, Rob

Hi Robert,

This is a Bachmann Forum and not an LGB forum so it is best to ask on a forum like Large Scale Central  or mylargescale.com.

I am not an LGB expert, but in most cases there is a wheel with contacts on it.  A wiper then touches the contact on the wheel creating a chuff.  If something shorts out or drags over more than one contact at a time. could cause the problem   Some systems have magnets on the drivers, while other systems use a digital switch.

There must be an LGB site out there you can post on.   Maybe someone in the know will chime in with a response.

Sorry I can not help much.

Robert,

The first place I would look is to the 'G Scale Central' web site. (www.gscalecentral.com)  There are a large number of LGB enthusiasts on that site that may well be able to assist you. Anoterh site I frequent is Large Scale Central (www.largescalecentral.com), also a great place for information.
