I recently pulled a box of toys out of a basement. Mostly more recent GEOTRAX stuff for kids by Fisher Price. But there is one Bachmann engine, along with several pieces of track, a control type box, and a piece of track that the control box plugs into.

How do I figure out what I have? There doesn't seem to be a model number that I can enter into any search engines. On the bottom, there is a number K100707.

This image that I found....looks identical to what I found. https://www.micromark.com/Bachmann-HO-Standard-Line-EMD-GP40-Diesel-Locomotive-with-Sound-Union-Pacific-No-906?gclid=Cj0KCQjwtMvlBRDmARIsAEoQ8zTaTo5sbAApfscACgixRGqM250bA9dMgeJPLApcqJxvXzk2tNtjU5saAoeBEALw_wcB

However, how can I confirm?

We generally do not use the Bachmann model number of that is what you are referring to?

For steam we'd say a 2-8-0 or a 2-6-0  or a 4-8-4.

For diesels, we refer to the manufacturer's model type.  GP38, GP7, RS-2, F7 or FA-2.  Is that what you are looking for?

Going to the Bachmann catalogue on line may help you as they have photos.
