DCC on DC

I have a 2 6 0, a 2 8 0, and a 4 6 2 newer DCC with sound operating quite nicely  on my DC analog layout. Thankyou Bachmann.
My question is. I have an older Bachmann 2 10 0 straight DC. If I change the boards, and convert it to DCC with sound, will it operate on DC the same as my other three? Or is there something mechanical about the newer ones?

I do know that the Tsunami have to be programmed to work on DC the last I knew. Maybe that has changed. I believe it is CV29. Been some years. Others here will know. It might be in the documentation. If no one comes back, Google tsunami decoder on dc. My buddy Google helps me a lot.
