6 months ago I purchased a Bachmann HO Scale EMD GP40 Locomotive Train Diesel Santa Fe Flyer DCC. It was new but from a vendor on ebay. It ran really great for a while but now its broken. It suddenly stopped  working! I checked the wiring..all good. Lights come on. It just doesn't reverse. Or hesitation moving forward or nothing. Just lights. Wheeles and tracks clean.

Where do I send it for Repairs? Will it cost me an arm and leg?

Welcome.

Usually a decoder reset is first.
Did you bother to read the Parts, Service and Information Pages? many times a phone call to the service department is recommended.

Thanks , Yes.... I bothered to download and read the service some weeks ago. Just thought I'd ask the forum for suggestions.
But have not tried a decoder reset.

I'll need to pull my other DCC units off the layout and try that.

Ok, you did not give any details. Details usually help.
Just in case. After CV8, enter 8 and light blinks 16 times, cycle track power. Loco should run on address 3. I have Bachmann locos. Had to do it a couple times. No idea of your DCC experience.
I had found over time decoders can be flaky at times.

If nothing solves correcting the issue, what others have recommended is to call the service department first.
There is a HO forum but someone will probably move your message to the HO forum.
Good luck.

Edit.
Forgot to mention. Do you have a Program Track? Always helps. I use to use one.

Well, been a model Railroader for 40yrs DC, then got back in with my 8yr old 2yrs ago with DCC.  So thats my experience with DCC. We managed to design a layout 8 DCCs and 7 DCs on track at same time where Bachmann turn table controls the DC units like an old fashion Atlas Connector without any extra wiring: https://flic.kr/p/2gvjBTg

In Regards to other details were only my inspection of the fuctinality issues and that I could purchase a new DCC board which is an exact match found here: http://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8337
I have replaced other DCC boards just in my 2yrs exp. With DCC so this might do the trick if the board is flaky.

Those are my Details...

Unfortunately I do not have anything like a Zephyr DCS 52 to reset the CV Numbers. Just a Bachmann DCC EZ-Command controller for now until the wife approves funds for an DCC upgrade controller.  ;D

But your suggestion to reset CVs makes sense. I may try taking the loco up to my local hobby store... and if the prognosis is a new board recommendation, I will order a replacement from Bachmann

Thanks for advisement.

@Rich1998
Thats a good Idea on setting up a Program Track so I dont have accidentally reset all my DCCs. Its a real pain.

DCC Program track is now added on my "To Do" list.

Kind Regards
