Hi all, first time poster...

I've got a Bachmann Class 450 (model no 31-040) and it's driving me nuts - I'm hoping someone here knows my pain and has a fix?

The front and rear bogies on coaches A and D keep derailing when going round a corner or over points. I've taken those coaches off the consist and run coaches B and C with no problems, and I've checked the wheels and track thoroughly.

I'm now wondering whether it's the little tiny replica contact shoes on these bogies that are catching on the rails and causing the coaches to derail? I tried gently pulling on the shoes with a pair of pliers but they wouldn't come out and I'm worried that I'll mess something up if I pull too hard. I could also cut them off but don't want to do that if it's not causing the problem.

Has anyone had a similar issue and can give me some tips? Thanks!

Don't worry, cracked it. The couplers were snagging somehow. Removed them and tally ho...

So your problem is fixed?

If so, great! many times this has happened to me, where i have a problem, post a question, then fix the problem...

Whatever, have a great day!
